The End of an Era

Marc’s career as a collegiate golfer has come to an end. Mom and I drove out to Hot Springs, VA to watch M compete in his final tourney, the CAA Conference Championships. Marc did a great job, but more importantly Mom and I got a great mini-vacation out of it!

We stayed at the Homestead Resort, which is an old-money vacation spot with a spa, golfing, horseback riding, great food, etc., etc. The hotel is huge and gorgeous (it even has its own bowling alley) and was a blast to stay in. I got addicted to the puzzles they have out for the guests and got everyone sucked in. They were these amazing wood puzzles that were so hard and so expensive ($1000 for a puzzle?!). There were pieces shaped like fish, trees, girls in boats...so fun :)
