Thanksgiving (Post 1)

Matty and I had such a wonderful Thanksgiving. Matty got to meet a bunch of her relatives, including her dog-cousin Stolley (?sp), and she loved it. Billy and Michelle invited us over for dinner and they had a big gathering and delicious food -- it was a really good time :)

The McDermotts

Luke, Lar, and Pat came to visit last weekend -- we went to the Amish market to buy tons of goodies and took a stroll around town. It was so fun. Luke is such a happy and cute baby -- he's a blast to play with. I think Matty got a kick out of him too :)

That was Then, This is Now

Matty is changing soooo much. Here are some side by shots of when I first got her (roughly 8 weeks) compared to what she looks like now (roughly 5 months):

Rockets!

I took Matty to see Joe and his son, Michael, launch some rockets at the largest event of the year on the East Coast. Matty didn't love the noise, but she cuddled in my arms all day and did great. There were kids of all ages launching rockets of all sizes...the biggest ones were HUGE (15ish feet, 200ish pounds!).

UNCLE M

Matty and I took a trip to NC to support Marc and the UNCW Golf team in their last tourney of the semester last weekend. Unfortunately the guys had a rough time on the golf course, but we had fun none the less.

Matty loved her Uncle M! She stayed with M, Chris, and Heather one night and apparently had a blast. The team loved her and she provided much excitement for the evening. Next time we'll have to work on teaching her to settle down some ;)

Matty also was the first dog to ever stay at Granny's house -- we felt very special! Matty did a great job and I think she'll be invited back!
