Quiet Waters

Matty and I finally stopped by the nearby park called Quiet Waters. It is located on the South River about 10 minutes from my house. It has lots of walking trails, a dog beach, and a fenced in dog park for dogs to play off leash. We didn't try the fenced area yet, but we walked around a lot to check out the park. It was really nice and I'm sure it will be one of our regular hanging spots :)

Home Alone

When Mom and I were at ND for the weekend, Matty spent her time at Al's house. They had a grande time, and Al was sad when it was time for Matty to leave. But I was happy to get home to her, and she sure was glad to see me :) Here are some pics from the weekend:

GO IRISH!!!!!

Mom and I drove out to Notre Dame this weekend for their matchup against PSU. WOW -- what a weekend! ND played AWESOME and we got to watch them knock the socks off Penn State :) What a treat! And what an amazing time we had!

We got in Friday night and attended the pep rally, went to the Bookstore where I loaded up on ND paraphanalia, and ate at Kays -- my favorite local spot for dinner. On Saturday we walked around campus and met up with a few friends before the game.

For my first time we lined up to see the players walk from the Basillica to the Stadium before the game. It was so neat...I shook Brady's hand before the game, what a lucky kid he is :) Notice Brady (middle pic) giving me the cute face -- I'm sure he played so well to try to impress me! haha

Also, we had quite a few celebrity citings -- including one of my favorite quarterbacks of all time, Joe Montana! Yup, we walked right by him and his sons playing ball. I didn't talk to him, but he did hear me pointing him out to Mom, who almost missed him. We also stood next to Dick Vitale and his family when we lined up to watch the team walk from the Basillica to the Stadium.

The game itself was fantastic. The stadium was rocking -- I could barely stay seated, jumping up for every play. I've got a nice bruise on my shin to show for it. This game was the start of several great traditions. All the fans got game towels to swirl during the game. Also, the team not only thanks the student section after the game, they also now sing the fight song and the alma mater with everyone while the band plays before they leave the field. Very cool. Such a great weekend!!!! GO IRISH!!!! A few parting shots below...

Labor Day Weekend

I took Matty to see the water for a preview of our (hopeful) upcoming trip to North Carolina to see the beach. We went to a little private beach on the bay where Matty loved digging in the sand and running in and out of the waves.

After a long day at the beach, Matty preferred to sprawl out and rest in the shade. She is so cute :)

On Monday we went to the Naval Acadamy for a walk. We walked around the perimeter, on the Bay and the Severn River, stopping often to take pictures. Matty met lots of people and by the end of the day she was wiped out and assumed her favorite position -- sprawled out in the shade :)

The McD's

Matty made the McDermott's blog! Lar, Pat, Luke, and Michael stopped by on their way to see Annapolis and go to a party. Luke got to pet Matty and he liked her :) You can see a pic on their site:
