A Typical Evening

Matty and I like to hang out on my balcony in the evenings. I like to read or "surf the net" while Matty chews on sticks and checks out the scene down below.

Granny!

This weekend Granny stopped by for a rest stop on her long trip from NC to PA and to meet Matty. Although Granny loves Matty very much, she is not sure they bonded because Matty liked to bite her. I told her it was a puppy thing and means Matty likes her! Granny quickly learned the ligament stick trick -- give her the stick and she won't have any interest in biting you :)

Way to go M!

My brother was recently named a Golf All-America Scholar -- good job, buddy!!!

Matty's First Bath

I gave Matty her first bath today. She didn't love it, but she endured it quite well. She sure looked cute :)

Downtown Annapolis

Matty and I took a trip downtown to walk around and check out the local sites. We met lots of nice people and Matty got tons of lovin' :)

We walked by the capitol building for a photo op:

We strolled by Ego Alley to check out the the people sitting around on their boats, docked in downtown, just to be seen -- so odd and amusing:

Puppy Jail

As part of the training process I am putting Matty in her crate when she does something wrong. She will sit in there and give me a pouty face until I let her out. It is sooooo cute :)

My Growing Puppy

Matty is getting so big! Although she is still under 5lb, she looks so much bigger than when I first brought her home -- all my neighbors are noticing too. It's fun to watch her grow, but it's also sad that she's not my teeny puppy anymore!

On the Water, Again

Jim had a bunch of us over to his awesome house on the water for a potluck and a boating outing to swim and wakeboard, kneeboard, and tube. It was awesome -- the water and weather was great. I wasn't successful wakeboarding, but I did get to kneeboard, so it worked out OK.

Relaxing Evenings

Matty likes to hang out with me on the couch when I'm working in the evenings or relaxing and watching TV after a long walk around the neighborhood.

She chews on a chew toy until she falls asleep.

And sometimes we fall asleep together on the couch before we go to bed for the night :)
